One of the first things many people ask when they hear we're WFPB is where do you get your energy, protein, etc. In addition to our own endurance achievements as ultra marathoners - 100 miles in under 24 hours - I point them to these guys.

Derek Simnett

Derek is a Certified Nutritional Practitioner in Vancouver, B.C. 

Derek's passion for health sparked his decision to try a whole foods, plant based diet in 2011. His Youtube channel and Instagram are a great source of inspiration and advice. Daily vlogs, recipes, and workout routines!


Tess Begg

Tess is a Passionate vegan, foodie & fitness enthusiast from Australia. Her youtube channel and Instagram have been super helpful. One of our favorite meals is from a video she posted on making a WFPB pizza! Also make sure to checkout her vegan cookbook

Rich Roll

Rich is a 50-year old, accomplished vegan ultra-endurance athlete and former entertainment attorney turned full-time wellness & plant-based nutrition advocate, popular public speaker, and inspiration to people worldwide as a transformative example of courageous and healthy living. His book "Finding Ultra," website, podcast, and youtube channel have all been transformational for us!

Us - John & Emma

John is a filmmaker and Emma is a pediatric nurse. In addition to our day jobs we're ultra endurance athletes, and passionate animal advocates. Our dream is to one day have a farm animal sanctuary - Peacefield.  We're the oldest we've ever been (obviously) but feel the healthiest and have more energy than any other time in our lives since going WFPB. From ultra marathons to our daily workouts we're setting PR's and our recovery time has nearly disappeared - and we're always looking for the next challenge.
