GAME CHANGERS 💪🏾 🏃‍♀️

Game Changers….

This week the official trailer for  Game Changers was released! (Watch it now!) It’s a film directed by Oscar Award Winner (for the Cove) Louie Psihoyos and executive produced by James Cameron.

From the official website http://gamechangersmovie.com“The Game Changers tells the story of James Wilks — elite special forces trainer and winner of The Ultimate Fighter — as he travels the world on a quest for the truth behind the world's most dangerous myth: that meat is necessary for protein, strength and optimal health. Meeting elite athletes, special ops soldiers, visionary scientists, cultural icons, and everyday heroes, what James discovers permanently changes his relationship with food and his definition of true strength.”

The secret is out, a whole-food plant-based diet is the new legal doping in professional sports. As an endurance junkie my game was absolutely changed when I stopped eating meat and dairy and switched to a WFPB diet. Not only was I setting personal records but my recovery time almost disappeared entirely. I shaved nearly 2 hours off Zumbro midnight 50 mile ultra marathon time and was able to run again shortly after. For me, that would have seemed impossible before.

As you can see from the films trailer and website a WFPB diet can help you increase performance in any direction. From lean ultra marathon runners to the current world record holding strongman, all are thriving and setting new records by eating nothing but plants! No one was ever concerned about my diet until I was eating WFPB, then everyone wanted to know “where are you getting your protein?” Funny how I never heard “where are you getting your fiber” when we were out for pizza. The men and women in this film don’t seem to have a problem finding enough energy from plants and the same has been true for myself - I feel more alive than I ever have!

This film will be important on many levels, but hopefully it will be most impactful for men since about 80% of vegans are women. They are for sure our better halves. Generally more empathetic (animal suffering, devastating environmental consequences, etc) and open to change and new information. Us fellas on the other hand have somehow confused eating meat with masculinity - and that coupled with our inherent stubbornness (myself definitely included) has kept too many of us on the sidelines. The great irony is that the levels of estrogen from consuming meat, dairy and eggs is off the charts.

Wether you’re an athlete looking for a performance boost or just want to think clearer, sleep better, reduce/eliminate blood pressure medication, and the list goes on, a WFPB diet is a win-win! We’re nearly two full months in to the new year and if those resolutions aren’t working out - or if you never made them - there’s not better time to start than today. My only regret about going WFPB was that I missed out on so many years of feeling this good. I didn’t have abs (or at least I couldn’t see them) until I was 37.

We’re here to coach, help cook, meal plan and give advice. I’ve seen so many incredible transformations and I have no doubt it will work for you too. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch and start a new exciting chapter!
